The Synchronous Motor/Generator, Cut-Away, Model 8241-1, is identical to the Synchronous Motor/Generator, Model 8241, except that a quarter of the machine has been cut away, revealing the different parts of the stator and rotor. This enables students to better observe the construction of the machine. Note that cut away machines only include the machine itself (i.e., they are not housed in a module).
