The Capacitor-Run Motor is fitted with a running capacitor and running windings that are independently terminated and identified on the faceplate to facilitate experimentation of various machine connections, including operation from a two-phase source of power. The design of the machine has been optimized so that it operates like a two-phase motor at full load when connected to a single-phase source.
