The Resistive Load, 2 kW consists of five wire-round power resistors placed in parallel. Each resistor can be added to the circuit by means of a toggle switch. It is possible to vary the equivalent resistance to obtain nineteen steps of equal current increment. Each resistor is identified by a schematic symbol, the resistance value in ohms, and the current that will flow through the resistor when connected to a nominal voltage power source. Connections are made through 4 mm color-coded jacks.
