The Pumping System Bench consists of a perforated worksurface on which the motor(s), pump(s), measuring instruments, and accessories are installed and interconnected to build pump circuits. Water travels in a closed loop from the tank to the circuit and then back to the tank through a drainage system. A water tap is accessible to prime the pump(s).

The bench includes lockable drawers inside which each component has an outlined dedicated storage area to facilitate organization and inventory. The bench has lockable casters and can pass through a single door of standard dimensions.

The instrument panel includes the controls required to start and stop a pump, change its speed, and cut power to the motor in case of an emergency.

At the back of the bench are a series of connectors to supply power to the system itself and to the components of the system. A series of connectors is available to establish communication with the variable frequency drive for further experimentation.
