Directional Coupler
Description
The Directional Coupler is of the cross-guide type and has the following characteristics:
- It is formed by the superposition of two crossed waveguides sharing a common wall.
- The waveguides are at right angles to each other.
- Two cruciform openings located a quarter wavelength (λ/4) apart are made in the common wall. These openings allow the microwave signal to couple from one guide into the other.
