Dahlander Two-Speed Induction Motor
Description
The Dahlander Two-Speed Induction Motor uses the method of pole changing based on the consequent pole principally known as the Lindström-Dahlander winding. By the insertion of the special interconnection jumper, this motor can be configured to obtain three different types of motors. Students can obtain a two-speed constant power motor, a two-speed variable torque motor, and a two-speed constant torque motor using the same motor and different interconnection jumpers.
The motor is supplied with three faceplates showing the motor connections in three different configurations: constant power, variable torque, and constant torque. A twelve-pin connector to fit with the Motor Terminal Module, Model 3171-2, is also included.
