The Reverse Power Relay is sensitive to the reversal of active power in single-phase and three-phase four-wire power systems. In systems where a generator is connected in parallel to other generators or to a power system bus, this relay can be used to prevent the generator from motoring in the event the driving force applied to that generator fails. Reverse power setpoint and time delay adjustments are provided along with two sets of contacts.
