The EMS Component Panel provides a convenient method of assembling the snap-on control devices when performing the experiments listed in the student manual. The two panels mount vertically in the console module openings. Locking leaf springs hold the panels in place. The panels also provide a grounding path for the metal framework of each control device. This path is through the metal track to the grounding terminal located at the lower left-hand corner. During each experiment, this terminal should be connected, with a patchcord, to one of "N" terminals of the power supply which in turn is internally connected to the ground wire of the input power cord.
